
A man and a woman are facing charges following a theft from a Chatham business.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to the business on St. Clair Street at around 9:15 p.m. on Saturday following the theft.
Authorities located two people riding bicycles in the area who matched the suspect descriptions and took them into custody.
As a result, a 50-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman, both from Chatham-Kent, are charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000. The woman was additionally charged with theft under $5,000 and obstructing a peace officer.
Both suspects were taken to police headquarters and later released with future court dates.
