Chatham-Kent continues to reap the benefits of hosting a casino in the municipality.
Chatham-Kent has received $474,992 from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation for hosting Cascades Casino in Chatham. The total payment is based on the amount of gaming revenue generated during the first quarter of the fiscal year from April 1 to June 30.
Since April 2001, Chatham-Kent has earned $20,017,914 in host fees from both the former Dresden Slots and the current Cascades Casino.
The funds are put toward local infrastructure projects and community programs.
