The annual Chatham-Kent Plowing Match is set to return for its 88th year.
The event will be held on August 9 at the farm of Chris and Sherry Brady at 8183 11th Line in Charing Cross.
Organized by the Chatham-Kent Plowmen’s Association, there will be 11 classes of tractor plowing and one for horse plowing during the event, with cash prizes handed out to the winners.
Organizers are also looking for young women between the ages of 11 to 16 to compete in the Princess of the Furrow competition.
The plowing event runs from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.
