A new app will help parents and families keep track of their kids as they head to and from school this fall.
Chipmunk is being offered by CLASS, or Chatham-Kent Lambton Administrative Services, to increase the transparency of school bus travel, using real-time GPS data and integration with the transportation service’s routing software.
The program tracks school buses across Chatham-Kent and Lambton County and sends push notifications to keep families informed about where their student’s bus is, when it arrives at the child’s stop, and provides alert notices for delays and service cancellations.
The Chipmunk app can be downloaded in the Google Play or Apple App store and is free to download and use.
