The aftermath of a bad breakup has led to charges for a Chatham man.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a collision on King Street East, near William Street South in Chatham, at around 6 p.m. on Thursday.
Witnesses at the scene told police that a vehicle had been deliberately driven into another vehicle several times. Officers also learned that the driver and his partner, who owned the other vehicle, had recently ended their relationship.
No injuries were reported.
As a result, a 34-year-old Chatham man was arrested and is now charged with assault with a weapon, mischief, failing to remain at the scene of a collision and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. He was later released with conditions and a future court date.
