Chatham Sports Hall of Fame To Honour Newest Inductees

Four new names are set to be added to the Chatham Sports Hall of Fame.

The annual banquet and induction ceremony will be held on Thursday night at the John D. Bradley Convention Center.

This year’s inductees are led by Melissa Bartlett, who will be included in the Modern Athlete category for Volleyball. A volleyball star at Chatham-Kent Secondary School, Bartlett went on to earn several accolades playing college volleyball at Eastern Michigan University and was also a member of the Canadian volleyball team. She has coached the Western Mustang women’s volleyball team for the past 12 years.

Alan Cattrysse, a four-year member of the Michigan State Spartans, played in the Intercounty Baseball League with London for three years. The John McGregor Secondary School grad will be inducted into the Modern Athlete category.

Other inductees include Arnie Robbins in the Legend category, and Peter Cobb in the Builder/Broadcaster category, and the 1992 CKSS Girls volleyball team.

The Hall of Fame banquet kicks off with cocktails at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m., and the induction ceremony to follow.

The Chatham Sports Hall of Fame is located in Memorial Arena.
