Punching a police car probably isn’t the best way to get the attention of the officers behind the wheel.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service was called to an address on Grand Avenue West in Chatham shortly before 6 a.m. on Sunday for a report of an unwanted person.
Officers located the individual and during an investigation, the man struck a police cruiser with his fist, causing minor damage.
As a result, a 32-year-old Chatham man was arrested and is now charged with mischief under $5,000. He was later released from custody with a December court date.
