Police have arrested a woman in connection with a theft from a vehicle in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to the back parking lot of a hotel in downtown Chatham on December 28, after the owner discovered that their vehicle had been entered over night and multiple items had been stolen.
Using surveillance footage, officers identified a suspect and issued a warrant for her arrest.
The accused was located on Lacroix Street at around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday and arrested.
The 28-year-old Chatham woman is now charged with theft over $5,000 and possession of stolen property. She was later released and will answer the charges in court in February.
