It could be a bit of a dicey morning commute.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement with several hours of freezing rain expected this morning, bringing up to 1mm of ice build-up possible.
Officials with the weather agency say freezing rain, which may be mixed with rain at times, is expected to change over to rain as temperatures rise above the freezing mark. Areas along the Lake Erie shorelines may see very little ice accretion or build up.
Drivers and pedestrians are urged to take care as roads and walkways may become icy and slippery and icy surfaces could be difficult to detect.
