
Charges have been laid following a disturbance at a restaurant in downtown Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to the restaurant on King Street West at around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday after an unruly man entered and caused a disturbance.
The man was also showing signs of intoxication while holding an open container of alcohol.
A 30-year-old Chatham man was arrested at the scene and taken to police headquarters. While in custody, the man allegedly damaged unspecified property.
As a result, the accused has been charged with public intoxication and mischief. He was later released with an April court date.
