A Wallaceburg man has been arrested after an argument involving a local couple turned violent.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a Wallaceburg residence on Sunday shortly before 4 a.m. after a dispute led to a man threatening a woman and hitting her multiple times.
The extent of the victim’s injuries has not been released.
A 62-year-old man was arrested at the scene. He is now charged with assault and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. He will answer the charges in court in April.
