A careless driving charge has been laid following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 401 in Chatham-Kent that injured two people.
The Ontario Provincial Police said two transport trucks collided in the westbound lanes of the highway near Orford Road on March 9 at around 6:15 a.m.
Emergency crews were called to the scene, and both drivers were taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
The Ministry of the Environment also attended due to a significant diesel spill, which also closed the highway for several hours.
Following an investigation, a 52-year-old driver from Ingersoll is now charged with careless driving.
