With a municipal election looming later this year, Chatham-Kent staff want to help potential candidates prepare.
An information session is being held in Council Chambers at the Civic Centre at 6pm on April 16, open to anyone thinking about running for Mayor, Council, or School Board Trustee.
Emailed registration is required (ckelection@chatham-kent.ca,) however there is no fee to attend.
Municipal Clerk, Judy Shantz, will be going over responsibilities, expectations, timelines, and other information candidates should have before filing their nomination papers.
The nomination period runs May 1 to August 21.
Chatham-Kent residents head to the polls October 26, 2026.
