
Nearly 75 more Chatham-Kent employees made over $100,000 in 2025, compared to the year prior.
According to information released under Ontario’s Salary Disclosure Act, there were 464 municipal employees on the so-called Sunshine List for 2025, up from 393 in 2024. Those employees made up 20 per cent of the municipality’s workforce of around 2,300 people.
The top earner employed by Chatham-Kent was Chief Administrative Officer Michael Duben, who took home $347,276 last year.
CK’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Shanker Nesathurai, was paid the second most at $328,012, followed by current Police Chief Kirk Earley at $283,007.
Other notable earners from last year include Infrastructure and Engineering Services General Manager Edward Soldo, who made $255,066, and General Manager of Health and Human Services and Public Health CEO Jodi Guilmette, who took home $246,860 last year.
Under the Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, public sector organizations such as hospitals, school boards, municipalities, colleges, universities and hydroelectric companies owned by the province are required to list employees who earn $100,000 or more each year.
