Local organizers are hoping to set a world record this weekend while raising funds for a worthy cause.
A celebration entitled “History Will Be Made” will be held Saturday night at the Chatham Armoury with 314 guests on hand in an attempt to break the record for the world’s largest dining table.
Doors to the Armoury will open at 3 p.m. to provide guests time to connect and converse about sustainable farming practices, micro‑farming innovations, local food production, and community‑driven agricultural ideas. A three-course pasta buffet will then be provided at 5 p.m., followed by live and silent auctions beginning at 7 p.m.
All proceeds from the auctions will support Noelle’s Gift to Children, helping ensure local children have access to essential items, such as nutrition, clothing, educational supplies, and emergency support.
