A Mississauga resident won’t be getting behind the wheel anytime soon after being stopped by police in Chatham-Kent.
The Ontario Provincial Police said officers pulled a vehicle over in the westbound lanes of Highway 401 at around 9:30 a.m. on Friday after it was clocked travelling more than 153 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.
A 63-year-old has since been charged with stunt driving and failing to surrender insurance.
The Mississauga resident was also issued a 30-day driver’s licence suspension, and their vehicle will be impounded for 14 days.
