More details are expected today following a pair of weekend fires.
Emergency crews responded to the encampment at the PUC building on Grand Avenue East on Friday, however no official information has been released from Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue.
Meantime, Chatham-Kent Police issued a statement on Sunday, warning of an increased presence on King Street East as part of an ongoing investigation into a fire in which one person was found dead.
The blaze remains under investigation by police working alongside Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue and the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office.
Authorities say there are no concerns for public safety, but anyone who might have information is urged to contact Chatham-Kent Police.
