A Chatham woman has been charged following a two-vehicle collision in Harwich Township that sent another person to hospital.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to the crash on Communication Road just before 1 a.m. Monday morning.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene to find that one of the two vehicles involved in the crash had left the road, struck a hydro pole and entered a ditch.
One of the drivers, a 64-year-old Dresden woman, was taken to hospital before being transferred to another medical facility for treatment. Police have not disclosed the extent of her injuries.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Following an investigation, the other driver, a 46-year-old Chatham woman, was charged with careless driving.
