A Blenheim woman is facing charges after calling police for help.
Authorities say the accused called Chatham-Kent Police shortly before 7:30 Saturday evening and said she did not know where she was. Officers tracked the woman, who they believed to be intoxicated, in her vehicle on Lagoon Road.
After a roadside test, the accused was arrested and taken to police headquarters for more testing, which showed her blood alcohol level was above the legal limit.
The 68-year-old has since been charged with operation while impaired and having a blood alcohol level over 80 mg.
The woman was released from custody, but will have to answer the charges in court next month.
