A threatening gesture has led to the arrest of a Chatham man.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a McNaughton Avenue West home in Chatham shortly before 5 p.m. on Wednesday for a threat investigation.
According to authorities, a man made a threatening gesture toward a woman by running his thumb across his throat, causing her to fear for her safety.
Following an investigation, a 75-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with one count of uttering threats. He was later released and will answer the charge in court next month.
