A local man is facing multiple charges following a disturbance in Blenheim.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to Marlborough Street around noon on Monday after an argument between two people escalated into violence.
Authorities learned that a man damaged property, threw a cup of tea, and later kicked and punched the other individual.
Officers arrived at the scene and arrested a suspect, who was allegedly in possession of a multi-tool knife, despite court-ordered conditions prohibiting him from possession weapons.
As a result, a 24-year-old Blenheim man has been charged with assault with a weapon, assault, mischief under $5,000, and two counts of failing to comply with a release order. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
