A Chatham-Kent woman is facing several charges after police seized fentanyl and cocaine during a separate investigation.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a Gillard Street address in Wallaceburg at around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, after an individual was threatened with pepper spray.
Officers arrived at the scene and arrested a 37-year-old woman for the offence. During a search following the arrest, officers seized a firearm, along with a quantity of suspected fentanyl and cocaine.
The suspect is now charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, resisting a peace officer, unauthorized possession of ammunition, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and six counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
She was held in custody for a bail hearing.
