Officials with the Chatham-Kent Public Library are looking to add a splash of colour to branches across the municipality.
A call for artists has been issued to create murals on panels to be placed at CKPL locations in Blenheim, Bothwell, Dresden, Highgate, Merlin, Ridgetown, Thamesville, Tilbury, Wallaceburg, and Wheatley.
Organizers say proposals should reflect themes that share local history, heritage, or contemporary community stories.
The project is being funded by the Municipality of Chatham-Kent’s Together CK public art grant program and the Chatham-Kent Community Foundation.
Applications can be submitted until Friday, August 28, with recommendations from a review panel going before Chatham-Kent Council for approval in November.
