Students at Lambton-Kent Composite School had the experience of a lifetime earlier this month, thanks to the YMCA youth exchange program. 15 students traveled to Inukjuak, a remote Inuit community near Quebec. While there, the students were fully immersed in the Inuit culture, learning to fish and build igloo’s.
They also organized and hosted a carnival to raise funds for a school that burned down in a neighboring community. The students were able to donate 650 dollars to the cause.
On May 7th, the Inuit students will be coming to Chatham-Kent.
