Over a dozen local organizations and historic sites will be welcoming the public this weekend for Doors Open Chatham-Kent.
The one-day event invites residents to explore unique spaces across the municipality for behind-the-scenes access not usually available to the public.
13 sites are included in this year’s tour, including ARTspace, the Chatham-Kent Museum, and the Capitol Theatre in downtown Chatham; several black history sites including the Buxton National Historic Site and Museum, Chatham-Kent Black Mecca Museum, and Josiah Henson Museum of African Canadian History; Sheep Dog Animation in New Scotland; and the Thamesville Old Town Hall Museum.

Doors Open is a free event, and runs from 10am until 4pm on Saturday, October 3.
