Another suspect has been arrested in connection with a violent home invasion that took place in Chatham over the summer.
As part of an ongoing investigation into the incident, the Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers formed grounds to charge a 42-year-old Chatham woman for her alleged involvement on Saturday.
The accused was notified, and she turned herself in at police headquarters on Monday. She is now charged with break and enter, armed robbery, assault, disguise with intent, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, assault causing bodily harm, and uttering threats.
Six other suspects were arrested and charged with similar offences after a group of individuals forced their way into a Delaware Avenue home in Chatham on August 10. During the incident, one victim was threatened with a knife, while another was assaulted, choked and threatened with death. The attackers also stole personal property before fleeing the scene.
The 42-year-old accused has since been released from custody and will answer her charges in court at a later date.
