A Wallaceburg man won’t be getting behind the wheel any time soon after he was allegedly caught driving nearly double the speed limit.
The Ontario Provincial Police said officers stopped a vehicle on Highway 40 at around 10 a.m. on September 26 after it was clocked travelling 142 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.
A 45-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with stunt driving and was issued a 30-day driver’s licence suspension. His vehicle was also impounded for 14 days.
Local residents are reminded to call 911 if they witness impaired or dangerous driving.
