Chatham-Kent hockey fans will have to settle for $100,000.
North Saanich BC is Kraft Hockeyville 2015, winning the competition handily with 62% of the vote in the final.
Commissioner Gary Bettman made the announcement on Hockey Night in Canada.
Chad Peterson was the driving force for Chatham-Kent in the competition. He says he accomplished everything he set out to do.
“It’s just exciting to get everybody together,” says Peterson. “I don’t care if we get the trophy, we got the money. We got everybody behind Chatham-Kent!”
North Saanich got more than 1-million votes while CK had 670,000 votes in support.
