A family of 5 will receive the first Habitat for Humanity house built in Wallaceburg. Becca and Ryan Davis who are natives of Wallaceburg will be the recipients of the home that will fulfill some of the special needs that the family has. The Davis’ are native Wallaceburger’s and they are so happy to be able to stay in the community.
Lambton OPP arresting a 60 year old day care worker for fraud in Petrolia. Isobel Coke who was the Treasurer at Petrolia’s Kiddie Korner Co-op Nursery School and is alleged to have been misappropriating money for 2 years. Coke will be appearing in Sarnia Court in June.
The Cops and the Kids will be playing hockey to help an officer who lost his leg during a training exercise. Members of the Essex OPP will be facing off against the Essex High School Hockey Team this afternoon at the Essex arena this afternoon at 12:30 and admission is just 3 dollars and the proceeds will go towards Constable Pete Tucker who lost his leg during a training exercise.
With local MPP Monte McNaughton dropping out of the Ontario PC leadership race more and more support being garnered by Patrick Brown out of Barrie. One of those McNaughton supporters who is not backing Brown is Sarnia Lambton MPP Bob Bailey. Bailey was McNaughton’s campaign manager and that leaves just Brown and Christine Elliott to battle it out to be the Provincial Leader on May 9th.
The Rotary Club celebrating 29 year in Dresden in a big way a 60 thousand dollar cheque was given towards the Lambton-Kent Community Sports Field project.
