It’s a change of date and a change of location today for the Walk a Mile in their Shoes event.
The rain has forced the walk indoors to the Downtown Chatham Centre. Event organizer Hal Bushy says they also want some younger participants.
“We’re trying to engage younger men, recognizing the issue of domestic violence impacts all of us in our community,” says Bushey. “If we can deal with issues at a younger age we have a better change to decrease the incidents of domestic violence.”
The event was switched from September to this weekend so more men can get involved and not take away from another major event.
