Chatham-Kent police are talking part in a Canada wide campaign to make the roads safer this thanksgiving holiday weekend.  It begins today and Constable Rene Cowell says it is an important thing consider.

‘We want to remind passengers and drivers across the community to consciously remember safety when ever they get behind the wheel, Please remember to buckle your seatbelt and make sure kids are properly restrained according to their age. Pay attention to the road at all times.”

She says they will be focusing on things like speeding, seat belt use and of course, distracted driving.
