Chatham Kent Police investigating an accident on Smoke Road that took the life of a 4 year old last night.
The little one was playing in a ditch with his friends. He came out of the ditch and ran across the road.
A 55 year old Chatham man was driving his truck along the road and struck the child.
The 4 year old was taken to Chatham Kent Health Alliance where he succumbed to his injuries.
The accident is still under investigation.
