Friends of a Merlin family who lost their home in a fire on Sunday are doing what they can to help.
Eryn Smit says that while Victims’ Services, the Red Cross, and the family’s insurance company are involved, any donations would be greatly accepted to help the family bridge the gap.
“We’er just looking for some short term help for this family at this time,” Smit says. “Specifically donations of kids clothes and any financial contributions to the family would be greatly appreciated.”
The family includes six children aged 3 to 12. Any donations can be dropped off at Home Grown Health or St Paul’s Congregational Church, both in Chatham.
A GoFundMe account has also been set up, you can find it here.
