The future of the former Baldoon Golf Course is in the hands of municipal leaders.
The nearly 100 acre parcel of land just north of Wallaceburg is being converted to farmland, and will need final approval from council before that can happen.
One of the sticking points so far has been the ponds and the Dykeman drain.
The plan sees naturalization area buffers to protect the wildlife habitat.
The course was closed in 2014 after nearly 85 years in operation.
