The Thamesville Herald has been sold. 
Founded in 1886, the Thamesville Herald will now be operated by the same people that handle the Independent of Petrolia and Central Lambton.
With a current circulation of about 900, publisher Heather Wright is looking to expand the coverage of the Herald to bring in Dresden and Bothwell as well as keep Thamseville in the mix.
Wright is no stranger to the business, and is the publisher of the Independent of Petrolia and Central Lambton and also covered Chatham-Kent for 10 years as a reporter.
The first edition of the new paper Herald will hit the streets Aug. 17th.
