The Selkirk History Faire kicks off Saturday at MacDonald Park.
The fair features pioneer games, blacksmith demos, naval activity and a lot more.
Volunteer Marie Laprise says it’s always well attended by re-enactors.
“Last year they must have had a good 15 camps set up,” Laprise says. “They teach the old fashioned rope making, they teach you how to write with a quill. It takes you back to the past, and there’s people there who can fill you up on history.”
The fair also includes a number of vendors, refreshments, and entertainment.
There’s no charge to partake in the event, but donations are welcome.
