The 8th annual Chatham-Kent and Lambton Children’s Water Festival wraps up today at CM Wilson Conservation Area.
The three day event sees nearly 2,000 students learning the ins and outs of water usage and safety.
Zone Leader Kim Gledhill says and important part is getting high school aged kids involved.
“Every year they blow me away we go through a brief outline and then they show up and they come up with some fascinating ways to engage the students, and remembering all the facts about water,” says Gledhill. “The importance, the conservation and the diversity and how fortunate we are to have healthy water in our community.”
The festival is aimed at Grade 3+4 students across the SCCDSB and LKDSB.
