Ontario’s Lieutenant Governor is in Chatham-Kent today making her first official visit.
The Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell is in town to talk about community sustainability with Mayor Randy Hope and the Chatham-Kent Community Leaders Cabinet.
As the Queen’s representative in Ontario, Dowdeswell will also be touring Truly Green Farms, and meeting with members of the community to discuss ways to honour young, innovative, and creative thinkers in Ontario.
The last Lieutenant Governor to visit the municipality was David Onley, who attended the grand opening of Chatham’s new YMCA in 2011.
