This year’s YMCA Peace Medallions are recognizing two Chatham-Kent women.
Elaaf Siddiqui is an 18-year-old former CKSS student who says learning about the Syrian refugee crisis spurred her to action.
The other local winner, Emily Hime, is the founder of “Hime for Help” her father accepted the award on her behalf and says when your daughter wants to travel abroad, you have to let her.
The third winner was Mike Hurry of Sarnia.
