A Chatham-Kent Police Officer is receiving a top honour.

Constable Fraser Curtis received the Medal of Bravery last night at Queen’s Park in Toronto.

The honour comes after his heroic act of saving a man from a burning building back in May.

Police Chief Gary Conn says he was ‘very pleased to endorse and nominate Constable Curtis as his actions went beyond the call of duty in saving a life’.

21 Medals of Bravery were given out last night to firefighters and police officers from across the province.
