A Chatham man is facing charges after a pair of altercations with his ex-girlfriend.
Last night, officers were called when the accused showed up at her house, allegedly wielding a pocket knife and standing in an intimidating manner. He fled before officers arrived, but police were able to track him down a short time later.
As it turns out, it wasn’t the first time the 18-year-old had acted in an aggressive manner.
Police say the two got into an argument over a dog earlier this week, and the man allegedly held a hunting knife to the woman’s chest.
The accused is charged with assault with a weapon.
