Hayden Foulon has received the best early birthday present imaginable – the little girl’s mother announced on Facebook over the weekend that the almost five-year-old’s leukemia is in remission.
The London girl, whose father is a Wallaceburg-native, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia when she was just 22 months old.
Her mother says she has just one more round of drugs to go through before she can go to Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto for a stem cell transplant.
That’s expected to happen in about six to eight weeks.
In the meantime, a number of local businesses, including CKXS, are collecting birthday cards for Hayden’s upcoming birthday in March.
