Michelle Wright is back home, spending time with family, friends, and some local school kids ahead of Friday night’s show at the Capitol Theatre. 
Wright paid a visit to Merlin Area Public School on Thursday, playing songs for the kids and answering questions.
She says it felt oddly normal to be back.
“I didn’t know what I would feel, I came back in 1994 and was quite emotional then because it was just the beginning of my career,” Wright says. “Maybe I’m just a little older and more mature, and don’t get so emotionally hyped as I did back then, but it just felt comfortable and good.”
Tonight’s concert at the Capitol is in support of the new animal shelter.
