The South Wallaceburg Action Team is getting $3000 from the Chatham-Kent Community Homelessness Prevention Initiative fund.
SWAT Co-Chair Lori Turner says they plan on creating a community garden with a portion of the funds.
Turner says, “At our last meeting, three people stepped up and said they were interested in pursing that. So we have a few ideas of places where we could have it, so hopefully by our next meeting, we’ll have a better idea of where we can set it up.”
In the near future they plan on having a clean up day. Their next meeting is April 4th.
