Chatham-Kent Police have arrested a man with an alleged history of violence.
Police say the accused and his girlfriend got into an argument over the weekend about drug use when the man is said to have grabbed the victim’s arm and prevented her from leaving the room.
The woman eventually managed to get out, and reported the incident to police.
As it turns out, it wasn’t the first time the man had become abusive.
Charges include six counts of assault, uttering death threats, and two counts of forcible confinement.
