The Wallaceburg and Walpole Island Health Coalition is focusing on the future of local health care.doctor-1

As well as going over the results of a recently released community survey, the group will be meeting tonight to discuss plans for a pair of upcoming awareness campaigns.

Chair Shirley Roebuck says they’ll be busy over the coming months.

“The first is to educate people about the privatization of health care service,s and the need to fight back,” Roebuck says. “The second campaign we have is progressive health reform in Ontario. The government has been hearing for some time now what we don’t want, but I think we have to help the government and give them some ideas on how to reform health care.”

The meeting starts at 6 o’clock at the UAW Hall in Wallaceburg.
