Members of the Canada Day Firework Festival committee are doing some door to door fundraising. 
Committee Member Tom Cogghe says it takes a lot of money to put the display on.
“It takes close to $25,000 for us to put this large event on,” Cogghe says, “with the fireworks and all the events that we do for the kids and the children’s activities.”
Cogghe says the canvassers will be two women wearing fireworks committee shirts, and will only be out during the day.
This week they are targeting the area behind the hospital.
