After months of planning, the Wallaceburg BIA and its volunteer organizing committee are launching their first Farmers’ Market this Saturday.
It’s the first of three this summer that are coinciding with other local events.
Farmers’ Market summer student Madeline Button says the farmers are from the Chatham-Kent and Sarnia-Lambton area and they’ll have lots to offer.
“We’ll have lots of produce, like asparagus, tomatoes, rhubarb, mushrooms, berries, and we’ll also have organic meat, farm fresh eggs, maple syrup, and honey”, says Button.
There will also be flowers, baked goods, preserves, and a food truck.
Vendors will be outside, rain or shine, in the old Liquidation Park lot in Downtown Wallaceburg on Saturday, June 3rd from 10:00AM – 2:00PM.
Two more markets are scheduled for this summer on July 15th and September 23rd.
