St Clair College is expanding a series of skills-based summer camps to Chatham-Kent.
Art Barron, the college’s manager of Youth Development Programs, says a pilot project was launched at the Windsor campus last year.
“Parents were raving, ‘I finally have something for students that age to do and it gives it something meaningful to do in the summer’ and we had a few phone calls from Chatham-Kent residents asking when we were going to do it here,” says Barron. “So we decided to do two weeks to feel it out and next year hopefully we’ll do a full compliment of camps.”
The camps run from July 17th to the 28th for students in grades seven through 12, with themes ranging from flight academy and Lego robotics engineering to digital photography and firefighting.
