A 28-year-old Chatham man is facing a litany of charges following a run in with police.

Officers were first contacted about the man when he struggled to turn onto Thames St. from St. Clair in Chatham and ran up on the sidewalk just after 6am on Sunday.

A few hours later the man was found passed out behind the wheel of his running vehicle in a parking lot on Park Ave.

As he was being arrested he tried to run from the officer and a scuffle ensued.

That wasn’t the end of things though, after his release he visited an ex-girlfriend and got into a fight with her in the early hours of Monday morning. He was rearrested and charged with assault and uttering threats.
